The flowers speak for me
With their colors so bright
Lost in my thoughts
I’m only able to write

I often struggle for words
Each misplaced in my head
Rambling discourses of chaos
Are what come out instead

The flower, it’s determined
To flourish it needs rain
For me though it’s different
I need to overexplain

I wish to be like the flowers
For no memory they bear
Ah, to bloom like the irises
And breathe a breath of fresh air

This is an original watercolor painting of two irises— the other one will be blooming tomorrow. I had a fun time painting this one and love the contrast between the greens and blues.

This painting was more of a special project, so I left it unframed, which is rare, because I love framing everything that I paint. It already had a home before I ever started working on it. This type of art is always the best kind.
